Set the stroke color to red ( #ff0000) in the Fill and Stroke dialog. Now you have regular paths in your selection. Use Edit → Clone → Unlink Clone ( Shift + Alt + D). Once you’re done with selecting them all the status bar should read:ġ2 objects selected of type Clone in root.

If you accidentally click on the wrong object, just click it again (without letting go of Shift) to remove it from the selection. Hold Shift and click on the red paths one by one to select them. Select all ( Ctrl + A), then repeatedly use ungroup all ( Ctrl + Shift + G) until the status bar reads: The Thin weight is not showing in Inkscape nor GIMP (typically, the weight I want to use) but strangely it is showing in LibreOffice Writer. They are TTF files (am I dreaming or have I seen reference to an OTF version). (The style of a clone will only have an effect if that particular style was not set by the original.) I downloaded the Roboto fonts from Google fonts today to ensure I had the latest versions.

The stroke color from the original will override the stroke color of the clone. If the original object has a stroke color set, you can set the stroke color for the clone to something else (and you’ll see that value in the Fill and Stroke dialog), but it won’t actually have an effect. The reason why you couldn’t see that is because those paths are clones (they are elements).
